HISTORIC ABOUT US
GUEST HOUSE ROSSFALL
As it was in the past…
Five kilometers after the village Urnäsch, on the way to Schwägalp (Säntis), where the bridge over the Urnäsch leads, is the guest house Rossfall located. The Rossfall was mentioned in 1432 for the first time.
It can be said that, long before the first economic license was issued in 1830, the passers-by stopped in the Rossfall. In 1830, Johannes Nef ran a sawmill and the accompanying inn in the Rossfall. The inn sign showed a chamois. The sawmill was open until the end of the 19th century. The traditional guest house, which was closely linked to the traditions of the past, has inspired many artists.
There was no other guest house, which was painted more often than the Rossfall.
